FIRE HALL and TOWN OFFICE
(1910 BOOMTOWN)

Western Development Museum

fire hall and pumper

Some of the people who lived in the town volunteered as firefighters. The hand pumper in front of the fire hall was pulled by horses. Fire fighting equipment was either hand, steam or gas operated.

The Town Office/Hall was the meeting place for the town leaders (council). It was the centre of business for the town.
