SASKATCHEWAN is one of the three prairie provinces in Canada. (map).
Alberta is west and Manitoba is east of Saskatchewan.
Saskatchewan's population is 1,146,655 (April 1, 2016).
Most of the people live in the southern part of the province.

In Saskatchewan, a community must have a population of 5,000 or more to get city status.
In 2016 there were 16 cities in Saskatchewan, 146 towns, 299 villages, 96 rural municipalities
