THE ACADEMY
For many years the RCMP Academy was headquarters of the North West Mounted Police and Royal North West Mounted Police. The Depot in Regina is where the RCMP train the cadets. You will often see cadets marching in formation or jogging. Guided tours are available. There are many buildings on the grounds including living quarters, a Mess Hall (cafeteria), Drill Hall, a Forensic Lab, Learning Technology Centre, Learning Resource Centre, Firearms Complex, Fitness Centre, gymnasium and swimming pool, and a Training Complex. The Sergeant Major's Parade is held Monday to Friday on the Parade Square or in the Drill Hall. The Sunset Retreat Ceremony is held once a week during the summer.

THE RCMP CHAPEL
The Chapel is a white building next to the old museum. Built in 1883, it is the oldest remaining building in Regina. The building was first used as the mess hall. After it was partially destroyed by fire in 1895, it was restored and converted to a place of worship. The chapel has beautiful stained glass windows and the original pews. Services are held regularly. (photo)

RCMP HERITAGE CENTRE The RCMP Heritage Centre opened in 2007. It is located on the grounds of the Academy. The Centre contains exhibits and mutimedia presentations. Special programs and tours are offered.
