Turkey farming is a high-tech operation. Turkeys are raised in special barns
with controlled ventillation and temperature.

At some turkey farms, the birds may also go outdoors depending on the weather.

The turkeys are bred to have larger breasts (more white meat) and larger thighs (bigger drumsticks).
The turkeys have white feathers so that no dark spots are left on the skin when theY are plucked.
